The Role:

Every hire shapes the future of the organization.

This role owns talent acquisition and supports people operations at Design First. You will be responsible for attracting exceptional talent, maintaining recruitment excellence, and ensuring a seamless candidate and employee experience.

Success in this role is measured not by the number of positions closed, but by the quality of people who join the organization and the value they create.

What would you be required to do?

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Ensure all job descriptions are aligned with business requirements and there is role parity across the organization in terms of role redundancy, overlap, gender representation and cost alignment.
  • Understand hiring requirements from hiring managers, discuss with Department Heads and secure approvals before initiating recruitment.
  • Track employees serving notice periods and proactively plan replacement hiring.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for recurring and high-attrition roles.
  • Create and manage campus hiring initiatives throughout the year.
  • Provide market insights and recommend solutions to address talent challenges proactively.

Recruitment Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain recruitment hygiene including job descriptions, job specifications, KPIs, candidate information forms, feedback forms, reference check forms and daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Strategize recruitment channels for each role and justify associated costs.
  • Maintain and share weekly recruitment dashboards highlighting process efficiency with internal stakeholders.
  • Report daily on CVs received, shortlisted, rejected and in interview stages; analyse ratios and refine recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Track offer-to-joining ratios and proactively manage candidate drop-offs.
  • Prepare and share monthly recruitment and HR reports with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, onboard and manage recruitment consultants and agencies for optimal hiring outcomes.
  • Manage interview scheduling, candidate coordination and communication throughout the hiring process.

HR Operations & Employee Experience

  • Support offer roll-out, joining formalities and candidate onboarding.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires.
  • Coordinate employee induction, confirmation and probation review processes.
  • Support employee exit formalities and maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Manage HR operational trackers including Mediclaim claims, attendance and leave records for payroll processing.
  • Support HR operations, employee engagement initiatives and special projects as required.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency and confidentiality across all employee and recruitment records.

What Skills are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • Full-time MBA in HR, Business Management or a related field with 3+ years of recruitment experience.

OR

  • Graduate in any discipline with 5+ years of recruitment and HR experience.

Experience & Background:

  • Experience in recruitment consulting, executive search, talent acquisition, or HR.
  • Proven experience hiring across both IT and Non-IT functions.
  • Experience managing multiple roles and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Startup, entrepreneurial or high-growth environment experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience building talent pipelines rather than relying solely on active hiring requirements.
